PROFILING AND COLD SHEET MOULDING

O.L.P.E.S. S.r.l was founded in 1971 and has operated in the field of profiling and cold sheet moulding for more than 35 years.

During its first years Olpes’s main productions were meant for the Italian automotive market of Fiat Auto and Iveco.

Olpes, a leader in its field, used to produce finishing details in stainless steel manufactured with profiling, beside pressing details such as various types of brackets made of iron and aluminium.

Nowadays Olpes has extended its expertise to various types of productions, its main clients are no longer Italian only, but also and foremost foreign.

Olpes’s production is currently meant for the English German French market and Canadian too.

FLEET OF CARS AND MEASURING TOOLS

Olpes has a very wide fleet of cars and on clients’ demand can manufacture specific tools necessary for new productions.

Its current fleet of cars consists of:

  • 22 oil-pressure and crank presses ranging between 20 to 400 tons;
  • 6 forming machines (with 16, 13, 9, 8 and 6 passages) with their own support machinery and equipment;
  • 4 Century-type bending machines;
  • 8 milling machines with a truncated shaft – one of them is a fast one specifically meant for aluminium;
  • 1 shear;
  • 2 disk saws;
  • 2 tape wheels;
  • 3 pointers
  • 6 bending machines;
  • 1 balancing machine;

and other specific equipment especially built for special productions and for optimising time and costs, beside milling cutters, lathes, radials, hones, saws for moulders.

Moreover, in order to guarantee an adequate quality control on every product, the company avails itself of measurement technologies and tools such as:

  • a profiling enlarger for the dimensional check of contours and sweeps;
  • a DEA for quota checks;
  • a Kesternik machine for the stainless steel test;
  • a microtest to check galvanization thickness (micron);
  • a machine for the salt fog test (painting);
  • a manual jig borer for the dimensional detecting of wheel bases, sweeps, etc.;
  • a coating gage for measuring coating thickness;
  • a roughness gager to check surface roughness degrees;
  • typical measuring tools (gages, micrometers, etc.).
